Mountain National Bank Security
Statement
Protecting
Your Online Experience
At Mountain National Bank, we consider the security of your financial
information a top priority. Accordingly, our Online Banking service employs
the most advanced Internet security technology. Learn more about what Mountain
National Bank does to protect the integrity of your online experience, and what
you can do too.
About Our System
The server is protected by a series of firewalls and filtering routers,
which verify the source and destination of the requests traveling
in information packets.
Included in this operating system is the capacity to allow only secure
connections by end users. Utilizing Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology,
all transmissions of web pages and data between the Bank and its customers
are completely encrypted and are unreadable to any person or group
trying to "intercept" the transmission. SSL encryption is
the leading security protocol on the Internet and is commonly used
in Internet applications that require security and privacy for sensitive
data.
Additional Security Measures
- Advanced Authentication -
Before you can access the Online Banking system, you will log in using our
enhanced multi-layered security process. The secure system will use your unique
User ID to validate your computer and will link you to your personalized login
page. Without the proper validation, your accounts cannot be accessed within the
Online Banking system. This new authentication method allows you to be sure that
the site you have entered is our legitimate site. In addition it also allows the
Internet Banking security system to authenticate your computer in order to ensure
that the sign-in is not a fraudulent attempt to access your account information.
Security verification questions will be used if the system does not recognize your
computer. This will enable you to use any computer anywhere and know that you are
logging in safely.
- Account
Number Masking and Account Aliases - On the Account Summary pages, your account
numbers are not displayed during your Online Banking session. They are abbreviated
to include only the last four digits. For additional convenience, you may also establish
account "aliases" or nicknames to distinguish them.
- Automatic
Time Out
- Your Online Banking session is automatically discontinued after 30 minutes of inactivity.
This added security measure is intended to prevent unauthorized viewing of your account information
or the completion of erroneous transactions.
- Logging
Out
- For maximum security, you should always sign off using the “EXIT” icon on the toolbar and then close your open Internet browser
window to log out of your Online Banking session completely
